![]() ![]() Get out there and eat yourself some ice cream. BLENded fresh willamette valley fruit with oregon-made vanilla ice cream for a smooth New Zealand style treat raspberry. It is NO joke that this is 5 stars because yes and YUM to their flavor profiles. My daughter had the BCS brown caramel sugar scoop with cocoa nibs on top and it was nice. It was fine before I could ask for a taste. While almost every ice cream shop in town offers at least one vegan flavor, this map doesn’t include Portland’s most obvious scoop shops like Salt & Straw and Fifty Licks. I wanted the Hibisbloom Float, but I don't like pop because it's way too sweet and seeing it had vanilla soda in it I knew I wouldn't like it. It was coupled with the crunch of the chocolate shell and the rich flavor of the mousse. Sherbet is not my jam but the tartness of that Raspberry sherbet was SO good. My son had the Goddess Mousse and holy cow. The Jerry Berry was a perfect combination of berries and very Marionberry forward so the tartness was there but it was more refreshing and flavorful than tart. The vanilla was sweet but not overwhelming. One of Portland’s best vegan ice cream brands is opening a North Portland scoop shop. The vanilla and Jerry Berry swirl were a match made in heaven. Man do I wish I could use emojis because I fell hard in love for this soft serve. Tal Caspi set up his first Gonzo Falafel and Hummus food truck in Portland ten years ago simply because he was hungry, and at that point there was no Israeli food here. Now I have had a favorite ice cream shop in Portland for 4 1/2 years since I moved here. A popular Israeli chef, whose plant-based Middle-Eastern restaurant is a hit in Portland, plans to open a vegan ice-cream store. Which is ironic because it's one texture. Portland has everything when it comes to vegan food epic burgers, mouthwatering bowls of creamy pasta, savory Vietnamese, and even incredible vegan bakeries It’s almost too good to be true the vegan scene in Portland is like a dream that I wish. I mean I could come every weekend for a year and maybe not hit all the combinations of options!! Whoa!!! So I joke often that soft serve is my love language for ice cream. 12 Fantastic Portland Vegan Bakeries & Ice Cream Spots. So instead of one of their chocolate covered Hibisbloom pops from the Beaverton Market, I promised them Ramblin' Rose soft serve. I came because my kids LOVE Hibisbloom and you guys had their syrup to add this weekend. This formerly vegetarian Jewish deli transitioned to a fully vegan menu in 2021, serving bagels, deli sandwiches, salads by the pound, matzo ball soup, and baked goods like babka, hamantaschen, and black and white cookies, with plenty of gluten-free options. Y'all make me want to change the lyrics to Cracklin' Rose and write you a song.
